<\/p>When we hear the word ‘debate culture’, we often don’t know where to put it, which is telling, as it is not a fundamental part of our current educational repertoire. It is this fundamental gap that our next youth exchange programme, named as CITIZENSHIP AND YOUTH, seeks to address with the help of two associations: APPC (Agissons ensemble) from France and Fortschritt Vision Diskurs from Germany.<\/p>
This initiative consists of six mobility or international programmes, two in each association’s country, and we have just taken part in the first one which is in the fabulous little town of Sarcelles, Paris. The programme will continue with a youth exchange in the same place in June, followed by two more in Romania and Germany. It is expected to end in the autumn of 2024.

The main aim of the project is to strengthen civic values of young people regarding debating skills and the ability to put arguments in the right way. These are skills that all young people can benefit from, as they will use them in the future to improve their existing skills and have a better chance of finding a job. The target group is mainly young people aged between 18 and 30, who will have the opportunity to participate in these exchanges.![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.ata-ro.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/nati-parizs-5-1024x768.jpeg\")
<\/p>
The Youth Exchange will be open to 30 participants, 10 young people from each country. As there are three mobility exchanges, the number of participants should be calculated accordingly to it. In addition of course, the colleagues from the coordinating organisation and partner association, who have made this possible and who are constantly working to get the best possible results will take part in the preparatory visits to work out the details of the exchanges.

Each mobility is led by professionals, who meet the objectives of the programme. In the preparation and during the events, we work with people such as discussion group coordinators, political scientists and educators, to ensure that young people have a quality programme to develop themselves, broaden their horizons and their way of thinking.

As an organisation, we strive to be part of as many projects as possible, thus giving young people from Transylvania more opportunities to try new things and to acquire useful knowledge, because we know there is strength in diversity.<\/p>
