The Artability+ project is in its second phase
During November, December and January we have been mainly working on the curricula of the second group of tailormade workshops for a new group of young adults with disabilities, this time collaborating with the Orban Foundation from Odorheiu Secuiesc and with their young and young adult clients with disabilities.
In the past weeks the workshops have started and our crew joined in to film the process to do the video tutorials which will be out and ready by the end of the month. Our partners from Greece, Spain and Lithuania are doing the same job with their own groups of people with disabilities, but all according to their own capacities, following the regulations and guidelines of safety linked to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
The main objective of the project is to offer training opportunities that allow adults with disabilities to improve their social participation and inclusion through the generation and creation of artistic expressions and the consumption of culture in normalized environments.
The more specific objectives are to firstly design and develop a training curriculum focused on the teaching and learning of artistic techniques and that contemplates the introduction of transversal contents focused in the promotion of the autonomy of people with disabilities. Secondly we wish to implement the training experience of the curriculum designed with an average of 12 people participant by country, and that these go from being students to trainers of own experience. Lastly, we want to achieve the transit of participation by people with disabilities from different specific environments to normalized environments.
The project is financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program.
