Mental Health – International Youth Exchange in Cristuru Secuiesc

Tomorrow we launch ATA’s newest international youth project! We are filled with excitement and joy as tomorrow marks the beginning of our Youth Exchange on Mental Health in Cristuru Secuiesc, right in the heart of Transylvania.

During the upcoming days, we will welcome young people from Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Romania for a week full of learning, sharing, and meaningful connections.

The main goal of the project is to encourage everyone to turn with more awareness and kindness toward themselves and others, while discovering small but powerful tools to support mental wellbeing.
This is not a therapy program – it’s about creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where we can openly talk about mental health, stress management, self-awareness, and balance in everyday life.

Throughout the week, participants will take part in self-development and creative workshops, theatre-based exercises, yoga, art therapy, digital storytelling, and nature-based activities.
We will also meet invited experts – psychologists and mental health professionals – who will help us better understand the deep connection between body, mind, and community.

Of course, the week will not be only about learning. Each evening, participants will take part in intercultural nights where every national team will present their culture, food, music, and traditions.
One day, we will also take a trip to Sighișoara to discover the historical beauty of Transylvania and share a special experience together.

As the ATA team, we are truly proud to host this exchange.
We are grateful to work with such enthusiastic and open-minded young people who are not only eager to learn but also to share – their attention, kindness, understanding, and a part of themselves.

This week is about learning to connect better – with ourselves, with one another, and with the world we live in.
We believe that every small conversation, every shared laugh, and every new experience helps us build a community that is a little healthier, more empathetic, and more aware.

We would like to thank everyone who makes this journey possible – our partners, participants, helpers, and all those who believe in the power of youth and the healing strength of community.

Stay tuned throughout the week for stories, photos, and moments that will show why this experience is truly something special.
