Ready! Set! VET(PACT)! We officially started

The Youth Association from Transylvania is already working hard on their brand-new large-scale Erasmus+ project. The VET PACT – Enhancing VET Practices and Capacities through Transformative Learning is a two-year project that started on 01 January 2023, and will end on 31 December 2024. It brings together six countries and aims to promote transformative learning, enhance the quality of VET education, and strengthen the employability of VET school graduates.

The project has partners from Latin America, to be more specific: Argentina, Columbia, and El Salvador, and from Europe: Hungary, Romania, and Spain. The project involves six NGOs as full partners and four VET schools as affiliate partners, 1800 students, and 180 teachers. This diverse group of partners and participants will allow for a variety of perspectives and experiences to be shared throughout the project.

The VET PACT project provides a unique opportunity for partners from Latin America and Europe to come together and work towards a common goal. The primary goal of the project is to promote transformative learning. By using this approach in the VET context, the project aims to enhance the quality of VET education and increase the relevance of VET programs to the needs of the labor market. The project also aims to strengthen the employability of VET school graduates. Through the development of innovative teaching methods, the project hopes to improve the skills and competencies of VET students, making them more attractive to potential employers.

The VET PACT project will kick off face to face very soon through a meeting in Argentina. This initial meeting will provide an opportunity for all partners to come together and establish a common understanding of the project’s goals and objectives, clear up any remaining questions anybody might have, sign contracts, etc. The project is currently in its research phase, and there are ongoing desk research, interviews, and data collection. Naturally, this will also be discussed in Argentina. The research phase focuses on the current situation of VET education in the six partner countries and will provide essential ground information for the future steps of the project. If you are interested in the project and its development, stay tuned. We will be sharing more and more information and results regarding it as time passes.
